For romantic couples Varanda offers totally private and intimate dining options: Thai Dinner, Japanese Dinner, Exotic Dinner with delicacies of Arabic cuisine, or Varanda house specialty fondue on the stone, with signature sauces. To enrich the ambience you can also choose your own music. The team at Varanda will be on hand to ensure your evening is unforgettable.
To best create the ideal dining experience, we recommend this special meal is ordered 48 hours in advance.
EXOTIC DINNER – Your meal is served in a colorful tent, with plump coppery cushions, red veils, and spicy hues under intimate lighting. The gentle glow of garden illumination creates the magical atmosphere and mystery of the Orient.

THAI DINNER – A banquet of sweet and sour tastes, delicate flavours and beautifully-presented dishes, this “delight for the palate and feast for the eyes” Thai Dinner is served in the hotel’s private lounge. Traditional Thai ambience and an exquisite touch feature in this romantic and intimate meal at Varanda. The magical Thai Dinner will be a memorable experience for any couple. Select your own music to complete the evening.
JAPANESE DINNER – Sushi and sashimi from San Tao (multi-award-winning Gramado restaurant featuring excellent Thai and Japanese cuisine) are served by candlelight in a private room. This meal is presented on specially-designed glass pieces, created by the hotel’s owner. This set, the Sushi Kit, can be purchased separately in the gallery. The Japanese Dinner is available Tuesday through Sunday (not Monday). Sake is included with your meal. Music can be personalized to your taste.
ROMANTIC DINNER – Menu options:
FONDUE: Served by candlelight in a private setting with charming decor, the fondue on the stone is accompanied by two types of meat and exquisite sauces. Romantic, enchanting, and very private. Drinks are not included, but you may choose to personalize your evening with your own music choices.
VEGETARIAN: With two menu choices, this elaborate meal is prepared with finesse and flair from the Varanda kitchen. It is served in the private lounge in the hotel with a sophisticated and romantic ambience for special occasions.

Served in your apartment, this beautifully prepared and presented breakfast gives you choices beyond the sumptuous Varanda buffet (cakes, pies, quiches, yoghurts, all homemade in the hotel kitchens.
